JONATHAN GIANNOPOULOS

PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, Jonathan has a passion for sports physiotherapy supporting sporting clubs and keeping players safe and healthy to perform at their best. Jonathan is a strong believer of bringing experience from the field to the clinic to help support the community with their injuries. He has a particular interest in managing injuries to the lower limb including hamstring and calf strains, knee and ankle injuries and returning to work and play from concussion. Jonathan has experience in managing bone health, particularly people with osteoporosis.


Jonathan has worked with rugby teams in Melbourne and was the head physiotherapist at Melbourne Rugby Club and with Rugby Victoria academy teams before he moved to Tokyo.


Jonathan also has experience in managing movement disorders, chronic neurological conditions when he worked within the community in disability and aged care.


Jonathan advocates for empowering people to take control of their pain and journey in rehabilitation by providing high quality evidence-based education, exercise therapy and hands- on therapy to help people achieve their goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science (immunology) - Monash University

Bachelor of Physiotherapy - Australian Catholic University

Immediate care in rugby level 2 - World rugby

ONERO - Osteoporosis
